Job summary

Right At School is seeking caring Educators to inspire learning and provide safe, enriching after-school and before-school programs on-site. You will deliver engaging activities that support academic and social growth, guided by structured curricula and state requirements.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliable attendance, and a commitment to healthy living, with a schedule aligned to school hours and an on-call basis for multiple sites. Competitive compensation is offered.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• At least 6 months of experience working with children under 13 years of age in a group setting (preferred).
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and healthy living.
• Meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with TB test.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, document attendance and incidents.
• Deliver dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social development.
• Model positive guidance and classroom management to maintain safety and engagement while supporting homework and activities.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Provide consistent supervision and supportive guidance to all children.
• Meet with Program Manager regularly for progress and accountability.

Educator: $20 to $22 per hour (based on education, experience)

On site Schedule: *ON CALL* Before and Afterschool 6:00am-9:00am & 2:30pm-6pm (Hours may vary per site)

You’ll Drive The Mission By

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents and other observation
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way
• Using your coursework training and our in-person training, model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
• Excellent communication skills with varied audience including children, parents, staff and school personnel
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children
• Meets regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability
