Job summary

KinderCare is seeking an enthusiastic Lead Teacher in Allison Park, PA to mentor staff, deliver high-quality early childhood education, and create a safe, engaging classroom for children. You will work closely with families to support learning and development and help achieve center goals around enrollment and accreditation.

You will model best practices, implement the curriculum with fidelity, and collaborate with center leadership to ensure a nurturing environment and compliance with licensing

Qualifications

• Must have or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Active CDA credential or NAEYC candidacy preferred.
• State trainer approval preferred.
• Experience in early childhood education (2–3 years) preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.

• Read, write, understand and speak English to communicate with children and parents.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)

Active CDA Credential or NAEYC candidacy (preferred)

Approved state trainer (preferred)

2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)

CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain

• Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively
• Possess active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements
• Approved state trainer (preferred)
• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
• Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
• Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
• Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
