Looking for substitutes for our Fort Discovery Before and/or After School Childcare. Hours are assigned as needed and may be in the morning session, afternoon session or both, depending.

Childcare substitutes make $15.75 per hour and substitute jobs range from 3-7 hours, depending on the position assigned to cover.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET
• Background check at time of employment
• Subs are used on an as‑needed basis

Some Essential Functions for this position include:

• Delivers children directly from/to parents, guardians, or designee for the purpose of ensuring safety of children and meeting established custodial guidelines.
• Distributes instruction and/or play materials for the purpose of providing required supplies for planned activities. Maintains program equipment and work areas (e.g., toys, bulletin boards, games, instructional tools, computers, site facility, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of items and/or providing a safe learning environment.
• Monitors individuals and/or groups of students in a variety of settings and movement to and from designated areas (e.g., snack time, group or individual game time, playground, etc.) for the purpose of providing safe and positive learning environment.
