Job summary

YMCA of Greater Richmond is looking for a School Age Child Care Program Assistant to support before and after-school programs in Chesterfield Court House, Virginia. This role involves assisting with group management and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for children.

The position offers flexible hours, Monday to Friday, from 6:45am-9:15am and/or 3:30pm-6:15pm, with a pay range of $13-$14 per hour. Ideal candidates are friendly, dependable, and have a desire to work with youth.

Qualifications

• Friendly, dependable, and eager to contribute.
• Comfortable working in a team and taking direction.
• Interest in gaining experience with youth programs.
• At least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Partner with program staff to keep activities running smoothly.
• Assist with group management and daily routines.
• Set up and clean up activity spaces and snacks.
• Offer encouragement and support to children.
• Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
