Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School Age Childcare Staff for the Before and After School Programs at Marian E. McKeown Elementary School in Newton, NJ for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt role follows the school calendar with morning (7:00–8:15 am) and/or afternoon (3:00–6:00 pm) shifts.

Responsibilities include leading activities, ensuring safety, supervising homework, and supporting student growth. Employer-paid childcare and other benefits are offered to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required (or equivalent).
• 1 year of childcare experience preferred but not required.
• Must pass state background checks.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, art, homework).
• Provide a safe, healthy, and engaging environment and be a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines and host school policies; assist with attendance records, registration, and staffing as needed.
