Job summary

Crossroads YMCA is seeking a Before & After School Care Instructor in Indiana to supervise school-age children before and after school and deliver engaging activities. You will lead games, assist with homework, and create a welcoming environment for kids and families.

Ideal candidates are at least 16, communicate well, and can participate safely in activities. Training, CPR/First Aid, and ongoing development are expected to be completed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, coworkers, and school staff.
• Willingness to complete orientation, safety, CPR/First Aid, and ongoing training.
• Physical ability to participate in activities and lift up to 50 pounds.

As a Before & After School Care Instructor, you'll play an important role in helping elementary-aged children start and end their school day with positive experiences. Every day is different, you may be leading games, helping with homework, facilitating creative activities, resolving conflicts, or simply being a trusted adult who makes a child feel welcome and valued. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, building relationships, and creating meaningful experiences for youth.What You Can ExpectNo two days are exactly alike.
