Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre-K Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Beekman Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt role supports children ages 5–12 with a hands-on, engaging curriculum.

Hours follow the school calendar with morning and/or afternoon shifts (6:30–9:15 and 2:15–6:30). Employer-paid childcare and robust benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or 1 year of childcare experience.
• Positivity, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, lift, and engage with children up to 50 pounds.
• Health clearance including TB screening required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, art, homework).
• Provide a safe, healthy, and engaging environment and model positive behavior.
• Follow state guidelines and program policies in daily operations.
• Support attendance, registration, and staffing logistics as needed.
