Job summary

Chippewa Valley Schools in Clinton Township, MI seeks a Part-Time Child Care Aide for Miami Elementary School. Hours are Monday–Friday, 6:45am–9:00am and/or 3:30pm–6:00pm; starting ASAP; must be 16 years or older; wage range $13.73 to $15.45 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children’s groups and/or training in early childhood development or childcare, preferred.
• Knowledge of school policies and safety regulations, required.
• Good communication skills, required.
• Ability to be caring, understanding, and friendly towards students, required.
• Ability to relate to children with special needs, required.
• Ability to read and interpret school policies and handbook, required.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and community, required.

Responsibilities

• Duties may include crafts, games, stories, lunchtime, etc.
• Assist in planning and organizing daily events.
• Monitor children on the playground.
• Communicate with community, staff, and students to answer questions, disseminate or explain information.
