Before & After School Assistant Teachers - Stark County School Districts

Job Overview

We are seeking passionate Before and After School Assistant Teachers to work with children in elementary schools and YMCA branches across several districts including Alliance, Northwest, Canton City, East Canton, Jackson, North Canton, Lake (Hartville), Louisville, Perry, Plain, and Minerva.

Hours and Compensation

Hours/Shift: Monday through Friday, 6-9am and/or 2-6:30pm (exact hours vary by district)

Pay Rate: $12.30/hour

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a professional role model for children in grades K-5, encouraging safe and healthy behaviors, and ensuring safety and supervision.
  • Lead and participate in activities such as arts and crafts, sports, STEM, character education, and social-emotional learning.
  • Build partnerships with parents, school staff, and community members to foster a supportive environment.
  • Support children’s development and teamwork skills, and adhere to State Licensing and Step Up to Quality standards.
