Job summary

KWS Group in Moorhead, MN seeks a full-time permanent Business Development Support Technician to provide technical support for beet quality analysis. You will install and validate NIRS systems at customer sites, train users, and collaborate with internal/external partners to enhance beet quality technology.

Ideal candidates bring CAD experience, MATLAB knowledge (preferred), strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Organizational, planning and creative problem-solving skills.
• Experience in project planning and execution.
• Experience in CAD.
• Computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate automated equipment and/or hand tools.
• Ability to fabricate equipment, including welding, fabricating and assembly.
• Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in MATLAB preferred.
• Additional language skills (German, Spanish and/or French) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Sugarbeet NIRS systems and related equipment.
• Install NIRS systems at customer sites (hardware and software) and verify operation.
• Train customers on proper operating procedures and processes of NIRS systems.
• Collect, process and evaluate samples from customers and R&D projects.
• Validate data and analyze existing NIRS units.
• Assist calibration trials and develop tests using Machine Vision and NIRS.
• Organize, catalog and ship equipment and data.
• Control project schedules and manage costs to meet deadlines.
• Maintain, repair and test equipment; fabricate and update prototypes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to advance beet quality analysis technology.
• Support other Sugarbeet projects and current customers.
• Travel as required; ensure safety policies are followed.
