Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a Beer/Wine Department Associate to assist customers with beer and wine selections, stock and merchandise the department, and operate the cash register. You will ensure accurate pricing, maintain cleanliness, and support inventory control while upholding safety and ABC compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 0-3 months related experience acceptable.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to read and comprehend English.
• Basic math for cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service on the sales floor and answer questions promptly.
• Stock, stock rotation, and maintain department organization.
• Operate the cash register, handle transactions, and ensure accurate cash control.
• Assist in unloading deliveries and setting up displays; monitor inventory levels.
• Keep beer/wine department clean, compliant with state laws, and properly merchandised.
• Support department opening/closing procedures and safety protocols.
