BEER-WINE-LIQR/LEAD CLERK (Finance)

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Achieve sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor and control all established quality assurance standards. Direct and supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the department. Support the day-to-day functions of the Beer/Wine/Spirits operations. Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • Management experience preferred
  • Beer/Wine/Liquor experience
  • Familiarity with industry terms and processes
  • Retail experience
  • Knowledge of imported and domestic varieties, flavor profiles, and production methods
  • Knowledge of industry trends in specialty wines and beers as they relate to customer preferences
  • Second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
Key Responsibilities
  • Promote trust and respect among associates.

  • Develop scheduling to manage customer volume effectively.
  • Train and develop associates and participate in performance appraisals.

  • Inform customers of department specials and promotions.
  • Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve results.
  • Create and execute sales promotions in collaboration with store management.
  • Prepare seasonal critiques and assist in financial planning and reporting.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and proper storage conditions.
  • Train staff on inventory management and computer-assisted ordering.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed and unsafe conditions are reported.
  • Perform all essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
