Job summary

JBS Plainwell in Plainwell, Michigan, United States, is seeking a Production Team Member to help produce high-quality beef products for families nationwide. Team members work in a fast-paced facility and may rotate across departments to support harvest, fabrication, ground beef, and shipping.

You will follow safety, quality, and animal welfare standards, perform physically demanding tasks, and participate in on-the-job training and career development within a values-driven team.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Ability to work safely in a production environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and repetitive motion.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process beef products in a safe and efficient manner.
• Prepare products for packaging, storage, and shipment.
• Operate hand tools such as knives and hooks.
• Operate powered equipment including saws, skinners, and other processing tools.
• Follow all food safety, quality, animal welfare, and workplace safety procedures.
• Perform repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and handling of products.
• Work in hot, cold, wet, or refrigerated production environments.
• Stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Unload and handle livestock in accordance with humane animal welfare standards.
• Prepare livestock for harvest operations.
• Hide removal using knives and specialized equipment.
• Trim carcasses and products to meet food safety and quality standards.
• Harvest and process by-products and offal.
• Break down carcasses into primal and sub-primal cuts.
• Trim, package, bag, and box products to customer specifications.
• Inspect products for quality and compliance standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
