Job summary

Select Sires, Inc. in Plain City, OH is seeking a Beef Intern. This temporary full-time, hourly, non-exempt position reports to the Beef Operations Administrator and offers hands-on exposure to the company’s beef business, data collection, and marketing support.

You will gain experience gathering bull data, assisting with photos, and supporting international beef activities while learning daily operations of the beef team.

Qualifications

• Excellent database skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to plan and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive representative of the mission and core values.
• Support the beef team around upcoming activities and learn the beef business.
• Gather missing beef bull data points and support photos for the website.
• Assist with photographing bulls and progeny for marketing purposes.
• Support Beef Operations Administrator with projects related to BART, acquisition, and production.
• Provide support for details around international beef tours.
• Coordinate with team on beef activities and events.
• Ride along on breeding projects to gain hands-on experience with beef customers.
