Job summary

The RN will perform assessments, design and implement care plans, administer medications, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care. Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state where employed
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• ACLS within 90 days for relevant units
• ONS/ONCC or Sentara approved Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months
• NRP within 6 months for applicable units

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans
• Administer medications and treatments and monitor responses
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams for continuity
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and post-discharge care
• Document care in the medical record per regulatory and organizational standards
