Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN House Supervisor/Bed Placement Coordinator for a Level II Trauma Center in Washington. Requires 2 years of house supervisor or transfer center experience and WA RN license (compact accepted).

Epic charting experience and strong ED/ICU skills are essential. The role features night shifts (4x10) with 10–12 hour options, every other weekend, and no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Active WA RN license or compact license required at submission.
• Minimum 2 years as a house supervisor or transfer center role.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Skills in emergency care, crisis intervention/management, emergency preparedness, and bed diversion.
• Clinical knowledge across ED, ICU, MS/Tele, NICU, Pediatrics, PICU, and Surgical Services preferred.
• Knowledge of inpatient acute care settings including bed management and transfers.
• Two references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years.
• Full SSN and DOB required for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a Bed Placement RN Coordinator within the Admit/Transfer Center.
• Night shift, 4x10 hours (20:00-6:30).
• Flexible shift lengths of 10 or 12 hours considered.
• Every other weekend required.
• No on-call requirements.
• No floating between units required for this role, though may float between sister facilities.
• Epic EMR used for charting.
• Responsible for bed placement, patient transfers, and coordination between units.
• May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted site.
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
