Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in the Southern Indiana/Louisville area is seeking a Bed Placement Specialist on a PRN basis. The Bed Placement Coordinator will oversee real-time bed assignments to support timely admissions and efficient throughput across the hospital.

This role collaborates with Emergency, Operating Room, and nursing units to optimize inpatient capacity and care transitions in a 24/7 environment. A high school diploma is preferred, and an Associate’s degree is encouraged; healthcare

• Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2 years in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate real-time patient placement and bed assignment across the hospital to support timely admissions and efficient throughput.
• Manage patient flow from the Emergency Department, Operating Room, and transfers while coordinating with nursing units, physicians, and ancillary departments.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to maintain capacity and safe, efficient care transitions in a 24/7 environment.
