A leading healthcare institution in Newton, MA is seeking a Patient Flow Coordinator to manage patient admissions, transfers, and bed availability. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years of bed management experience. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in hospital software are required. The role involves ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and managing patient flow effectively.

Responsible for coordinating patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, as well as maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of bed availability.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Healthcare Management preferred. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
Licenses and Credentials: None
Experience: Bed Management Experience 2-3 years required and Patient Health Insurance Experience 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient flow processes, and admission/discharge procedures. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders. Proficiency in using hospital information systems, bed management software, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
