Job summary

Gloss Studio in Manhattan is hiring a full-time, in-person VFX beauty/cleanup artist to work on feature films and episodic TV using DaVinci Resolve. Training in our workflow is provided; prior Resolve beauty experience is not required.

You'll perform skin retouching, cleanup, paint, roto, and color matching across long-form projects, with notes from supervisors and clients and tight deadlines. Strong eye for skin and detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in high-end VFX, beauty, or color.
• Solid compositing fundamentals: tracking, paint, and roto.
• A sharp eye for skin, detail, and continuity.
• A working knowledge of long-form pipelines: formats, color management, and delivery specs.
• Clear communication, and comfort with feedback.
• Beauty work already done in Resolve (plus)
• Fashion, beauty, or luxury advertising work (plus)

Responsibilities

$300.00 - $500.00 per day based on experience

The Role

We're hiring artists to do beauty and cleanup work on feature films and episodic TV, in DaVinci Resolve. You don't need to have done beauty work in Resolve before, since we'll train you in our workflow.

We're looking for either of these:

• A beauty/cleanup VFX artist with experience in Flame, Nuke, or similar, who wants to move that work into Resolve.
• A strong Resolve artist skilled in color and Fusion/compositing, who wants to specialize in beauty.

Seasoned colorists are a major plus. If you can grade at a high level, the role will include color work alongside beauty.
