Job summary

Ulta Beauty in the United States is seeking a Stylist to engage with guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services. The Stylist delivers quality professional services with emphasis on the guest’s total look and supports the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager through a focus on performance, people, and process.

The position requires passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and willingness to learn product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Previous salon experience preferred.
• Proficiency with latest salon techniques for haircutting, haircolor, lightening, styling, texture, treatment, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Perform hair services including hair design, haircuts, color, texture, hair treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing (where applicable).
• Meet or exceed sales goal of $800 average weekly sales and productivity goals for hair services.
• Demonstrate business acumen with understanding of business drivers and opportunities for growth.
• Perform product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and guest service experience.
• Support the execution of in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed regarding new and existing industry trends, products, and services; be knowledgeable about ingredients and benefits.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Develop guest relationships through consultations and appropriate retail and service recommendations.
• Develop partnership with skin therapists and retail team to provide a total-store guest experience.
• Establish professional peer and brand partner relationships to deliver exceptional guest service.
• Share benefits of guest loyalty program including credit and Ulta Beauty app.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for professional development.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures; ensure compliance with state board guidelines.
• Adhere to Ulta Beauty dress code.
• Protect company assets by Loss prevention best practices.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.
