Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking a General Manager to lead a store team with a focus on sales growth, guest experience, and operational excellence. The GM will oversee managers and staff, ensure adherence to company policies, and develop talent through coaching, training, and performance reviews.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree preferred and 3–5+ years in retail management, with strong leadership, budgeting, and merchandising capabilities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed Ulta Beauty’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and retail shrink.
• Drive profitability through operational excellence, top-line sales growth, and expense control.
• Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to support scheduling and productivity.
• Address issues identified by financial and operational reporting and audits to improve store results.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests to drive sales.
• Stay informed on industry trends and be knowledgeable about products and benefits to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt attendance and enforce Ulta Beauty’s attendance policy.
• Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent and address staffing needs.
• Build a highly engaged team through collaboration and open communication, and drive performance.
