Position Summary

It is a great time to join the beauty retail division of CVS Health, as America’s leading retail pharmacy with more than 8,000 stores and continuing to grow. We are seeking a talented, sales-oriented, Licensed Beauty Sales Consultant who is passionate about the beauty industry and believes the customer experience should be top-notch. We have partnered with service industry leaders to bring top-notch beauty services to our customers in-store.

CVS customers will experience your passion for beauty as you share the latest beauty trends and techniques through beauty services and sales. You will be responsible for the end-to-end customer experience in Beauty & Personal Care and will provide various paid beauty services and personalized product advice.

Customer Sales Experience

1. Seek out customers to ensure they have a world-class beauty advisor experience.
2. Provide personalized sales service based on customer needs, productive upselling, and suggestive selling.
3. Engage customers in conversation to stimulate a different thought process, confidently using verbal skills to generate sales.
4. Be the brand expert by answering customer questions in detail with product knowledge to maximize sales.
5. Engage customers with CVS services, Beauty Club programs, and invite them to in-store events or explain current promotions to close sales.

Performing Services

1. Represent both CVS and partner brands, upholding high standards of service.
2. Provide ear-piercing services and other applicable beauty services, passing proficiency assessments before performing services.
3. Educate customers on product usage, highlighting features and benefits to drive purchases.
4. Manage time effectively between consultations, scheduled services, and walk-ins.
5. Display current Cosmetology/Esthetician licenses during all working hours as mandated.

Operational

1. Create and maintain product displays and support promotional efforts.
2. Participate in sales programs and represent CVS at events.
3. Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and hygienic work environment.
4. Ensure compliance with sanitation and hazardous waste policies.
5. Complete ongoing training to stay current with sales and service techniques.
6. Maintain a professional appearance in line with company policies.
7. Stay updated on beauty trends and techniques to serve as a beauty expert.

Required Qualifications

• Current and valid Cosmetology/Esthetician License in your working state.
• Active license maintained and displayed during work hours.
• Willingness to perform ear-piercing and other services as required.
• Pass all skills assessments and training courses.
• Strong sales, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and evenings.
• For Nevada applicants, provide proof of Makeup Artist or Threader Registration.
• Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) preferred in some stores.
• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in beauty sales and a passion for beauty.

Physical Requirements

• Stand for extended periods, move throughout the store, and perform manual tasks.
