Job summary

Jones Road Beauty seeks a Retail Store Manager to lead our Houston store operations for the grand opening in November. You will educate customers on our clean beauty line, drive in-store sales, and oversee daily front- and back-of-house tasks to deliver exceptional experiences.

The role requires 5+ years in retail leadership, a passion for Jones Road, and strong people skills to train makeup artists and optimize store performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management, hospitality, or a customer-facing role at a managerial level.
• 5+ years experience in leading a team.
• Passion for the Jones Road mission and clean beauty.
• Customer-centric mindset with strong interpersonal, problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Proficient in generating weekly reporting, scheduling, and project management to drive sales.
• High sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Aptitude with Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Sell and educate in-store to hit and exceed sales goals.
• Ensure a seamless client experience across all touch points.
• Collect quantitative and qualitative feedback and insights on a daily and weekly basis and share them with leadership.
• Collect key KPIs relating to store performance.
• Drive store events and initiatives and work in collaboration with the Marketing team.
• Oversee store services and manage makeup appointment scheduling.
• Mentor and train store MUAs in new product knowledge education, artistry and personal development.
• Build a team of high performing individuals that create a welcoming environment.
• Optimize workforce management by creating schedules, maintaining budgets, approving timesheets, time off requests and managing payroll.
• Monitor individual retail team member performance and deliver consistent feedback.
• Adequately manage and diffuse conflicts between employees and customers.
• Ensure company policies are being upheld.
• Ensure all store areas are stocked, orderly, and clean.
• Ensure proper inventory receiving processes and execution of inventory counts.
• Maintain store inventory and supplies and report needs to Supply Chain.
• Report store maintenance needs to Retail Operations.
• Perform store opening and closing duties daily.
• Maintain visual standards and overall aesthetic of the store.
