Job summary

Macy’s is hiring a Cosmetic Sales colleague, also known as a Beauty Advisor, in New York. You will educate customers on beauty products, deliver personalized consultations, and drive sales while maintaining an engaging store presence.

You will build client relationships, apply makeup, and guide customers through product choices. A team-focused, flexible schedule supports evenings and weekends in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of beauty products and how to guide customers.
• Clear communication with customers in person, phone, or virtual.
• Ability to build relationships and reach sales goals.
• Familiarity with beauty tools and vendor products.
• Show and teach makeup application to customers.
• Know vendor lines and beauty trends to assist shoppers.
• Strong interpersonal skills with colleagues and customers.
• Collaborate with Beauty team to drive sales.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide expert product guidance.
• Build client relationships and grow the customer base.
• Demonstrate makeup application and usage of beauty products.
• Maintain proper display, inventory, and planograms.
• Utilize loyalty program to connect with customers and promote promotions.
• Participate in pre-selling and sales events to reach targets.
• Attend Macy’s training and vendor sessions for knowledge updates.
• Merchandise new arrivals and manage tester/sample items.
• Use point-of-sale systems to process orders and fulfill requests.
• Adhere to hygiene, asset protection, and compliance procedures.
• Collaborate across departments to deliver a great customer experience.
