Role Summary

The Beauty Advisor (BA) provides an exceptional guest experience by engaging with guests, conducting cashier tasks, stocking merchandise, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. The BA supports store performance, guest service, and operational processes, requiring a passion for beauty, excellent guest service skills, and product knowledge.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Meet or exceed store goals related to sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and shrink reduction.
• Provide exceptional service by greeting guests, personalizing assistance, answering questions, informing about promotions, and recommending products.
• Handle customer transactions, refunds, exchanges, and support online orders.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
• Book appointments and support in-store events to enhance guest experience and sales.
• Stay informed about new products and services to better serve guests.
• Maintain consistent attendance.

People

• Support an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
• Promote the guest loyalty program and Ulta Beauty app.
• Collaborate with team members to grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training for professional development.

Process

• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Follow dress code and maintain store standards and cleanliness.
• Assist with merchandise resets, displays, inventory, and shipments.
• Follow loss prevention practices and execute operational tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 1 year relevant experience or equivalent education and experience preferred.
• Passion for guest service and sales skills.
• Proficiency with basic technology (POS systems, Apple devices).
• Strong customer relationship skills and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Position Requirements

• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions

• Mobility and standing throughout the shift.
• Lifting up to 25 lbs. and manual object manipulation.
