General Summary & Scope

The Beauty Advisor (BA) provides an exceptional guest experience by engaging guests to identify their needs, performing cashier duties, stocking merchandise, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. The BA supports the leadership team by focusing on performance, guest service, and operational processes. A passion for beauty, excellent guest service, and product knowledge are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

The BA demonstrates Ulta Beauty’s mission, vision, and values through:

Performance

• Meeting or exceeding sales, loyalty, omni-channel, and shrink goals.
• Providing exceptional service, greeting guests, personalizing interactions, answering questions, and recommending products.
• Handling customer service, refunds, exchanges, and supporting online orders.
• Performing makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
• Booking appointments and supporting in-store events to enhance guest experience and sales.
• Staying informed about new products and benefits.
• Maintaining regular attendance.

People

• Supporting an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.

Job Qualifications

Education: High school diploma preferred.

Experience: 1 year relevant work experience or equivalent preferred.

Skills: Passion for guest service, sales competency, proficiency with technology, relationship-building, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills.

Special Position Requirements

Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions

• Mobility throughout the store.
