Job summary

Westwood Post Acute is seeking a Beautician/ Hair Stylist Contractor to perform hair care services for residents in a healthcare setting. The role involves assessing preferences, performing coloring and styling, and coordinating appointment logistics with nursing staff.

This contractor position offers the opportunity to set your own rates and work directly with residents. A valid cosmetology license and background check are required; prior healthcare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Valid cosmetology license with at least six months related experience.
• Experience in healthcare or service setting preferred but not required.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Washes, dyes, perms, tints, bleaches or curls based on residents' instructions.

What to Expect

• Analyzes resident's hair and questions resident to determine their hairdressing preference.
• Washes, dyes, perms, tints, bleaches or curls or waves hair based on residents' instructions.
• Styles hair by blowing, cutting, trimming and tapering.
• Makes and confirms hairdressing appointments and coordinates transportation through nursing staff.
• Space provided free of charge

Educational/Vocational Requirements

• High School Diploma,
• Valid cosmetology license with at least six months related experience.
• Previous experience in healthcare or service related setting preferred but not required
• Background check required

** This is a contractor position, not an employer/employee position. Contractor will set their own rates and collect payment from the residents directly. For example: previous contractor charged: $10 for regular men's haircuts & $15 for regular women's haircuts. Additional services are offered as well at additional prices. Space provided free of charge
