Job summary

Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Joseph’s Home in Louisville is seeking a licensed Beautician to provide hair services for our senior residents, including cutting, coloring, styling, braiding and up-dos.

This self-employed 1099 position requires a professional appearance, excellent communication, and a strong commitment to sanitation and safety.

Must have valid Cosmetology license and high school diploma or equivalent; prior med spa or hospitality experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid cosmetology license and high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with hair styling, nail care, makeup, and esthetic treatments is preferred.
• Ability to work in a self-employed, self-managed role with professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Provide hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, braiding, and up-dos for residents.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety according to industry regulations.
• Engage with senior residents to deliver compassionate service and positive experiences.

Duties

What Will You Do in This Role? As a Beautician | Hair Stylist, will have to opportunity to connect with, and positively impact the lives of our senior living residents daily by providing hair services. Specializing in women’s hair, services include cutting, coloring, styling, braiding, and up-dos.

• Proof of valid Cosmetology license


• Must provide own cosmetology equipment


• Professional image in both appearance and behavior

Experience

• Valid cosmetology license with experience in hair styling, nail care, makeup application, and esthetic treatments.


• Proven experience with advanced procedures such as dermal fillers, Botox, laser treatments, and body waxing is preferred.


• Familiarity with salon management software including Millennium and MINDBODY.


• Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities.


• Experience in social media management and retail sales is advantageous.


• Knowledge of sanitation practices specific to beauty and spa environments.
