Job summary

The bed laborer position involves physical plant work, using hand and power tools as part of the beam making process. The worker may assist others and perform a variety of duties to support construction operations.

Key responsibilities include forming, pouring concrete, cleaning forms, placing reinforcement, and maintaining form dimensions while adhering to safety and PPE guidelines in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare forms and pour concrete to make prestressed beams.
• Clean forms and apply oil to prevent adhesion.
• Place reinforcing steel cage in form; operate winch.
• Position cables and clamps to maintain form dimensions.
• Operate vibrators, wrenches, and other tools as required.
• Attend safety meetings and follow PPE procedures.
