Job summary

Westlake is seeking a Bead/Glazer to ensure the plastic around windows is properly installed, not short from the corner, and in good condition for the production line. You will work quickly in a high-volume environment, apply plastic sealant, fabricate frames, inspect materials for correct size and style, and lift up to 50 pounds when required.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read the tape measure accurately.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Installation of glazing sealants on the window.

SUMMARY

The Bead/Glazer is responsible for making sure that the plastic around the window is put in place so that it is not short from the corner. It also must be in good condition and not scratched. The Bead/Glazer must be moving fast in the production line.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Comply with Westlake Safety Policies.

  • Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility.

  • Provide safety leadership in promoting and creating a zero-injury safety culture.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee should possess the ability to:

  • Prolonged standing for up to 12 hours performing shift work or in a stationary position.

  • Complete repetitive movements.

  • Bend or twist.

  • Wear all the required personal protective equipment.

  • Handle, control or feel objects, tools, or controls.

  • Lift/move up to 50 pounds.

  • Remove or replace items up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee should possess the ability to:

  • Be exposed to temperature extremes inside or out.

  • Work in constant noise above 85 decibels.
