Job Description

This position is responsible for supporting the Epic Beacon Oncology application, with a focus on oncology & research protocol configuration, validation, and testing. Responsibilities include protocol collection, process standardization, collaboration with the clinical content validation committee, mentoring analysts, and leading the strategic execution, enhancement, and optimization of Beacon Oncology with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Support Epic Ambulatory and Beacon Oncology applications in troubleshooting, system enhancements, protocol build, validation, testing, and training.
  • Document and adhere to internal processes for UT Health IT.
  • Operate independently on Epic applications/modules.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Collaborate with Epic team members and provide support to meet development and implementation goals.
  • Mentor team members and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Lead key initiatives, including project management duties.
  • Develop and follow internal procedures for related systems.
  • Interact professionally with leadership, staff, faculty, and vendors.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of Epic experience, with preferred Epic Inpatient, Ambulatory, or Willow experience.
  • Beacon Oncology certification preferred.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of comparable experience.
License and Certification
  • Maintain Epic certification per Epic standards.
Required Skills

At least 5 years of Epic experience with in-depth knowledge of software development/build lifecycles.
