Job summary

Florida State University Schools (FSUS) is seeking a Beach Volleyball Head Coach to lead the middle school and high school program within Florida High Athletics. The role reports to the Athletic Director and requires maintaining FSUS, FHSAA, and FSU policies while fostering sportsmanship and academic accountability.

The position involves planning practices, managing equipment and game logistics, and promoting the program through school and community channels.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Florida Coaching Certificate (or ability to obtain).
CPR, First Aid, Concussion in Sports, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest certifications.
Experience with children/young adults in educational or athletic settings.
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all aspects of the Beach Volleyball program (Middle School, JV, Varsity).
Plan and conduct practices, conditioning sessions, and skill development activities.
Develop training plans emphasizing athlete safety, technical development, and growth.
Schedule contests in line with guidelines and school policies.
Monitor and support student-athlete academic progress and eligibility.
Coordinate game logistics, transportation, and supervision per FSUS policies.
