The City of Norfolk's Department of Recreation is seeking experienced Beach Lifeguards to ensure a safe swimming environment at city beaches. Responsibilities include emergency response, administering first aid, CPR, defibrillation, oxygen, and patient care. Lifeguards must stay current with mandatory training and promote water safety by enforcing beach rules to ensure safe use of the beaches.

Norfolk's Department of Recreation, Parks and Open Space has been awarded national accreditation by the Commission for Accreditation of Parks and Recreation Agencies, ensuring the continued provision of quality recreational services for Norfolk residents.

Department Hiring Rate: $22.00/hour

This is a part-time position requiring weekend availability.
