Job Summary

The Beach Club Host is the first point of contact for guests at Gurney's Montauk Beach Club, providing a warm welcome and ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience. This role involves managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries while maintaining a professional and hospitable environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet all guests with a warm, friendly demeanor.
• Escort guests to their reserved cabanas, loungers, or beachside tables.
• Address guest inquiries, concerns, or special requests promptly and professionally.
• Handle all reservations and walk-in guest arrangements using the appropriate systems.
• Maintain an organized reservation log to ensure accurate seating flow.
• Provide accurate information about availability, amenities, and services.
• Manage the seating chart to optimize guest experience and service efficiency.
• Coordinate with the Beach Club servers and management team to ensure seamless operations.
• Communicate with guests regarding Beach Club policies, including seating time limits, food and beverage minimums, and exclusive offerings.
• Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to support timely service.
• Ensure the Beach Club is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
• Uphold Gurney's luxury hospitality standards, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in reservation systems and basic computer skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be available on weekends, holidays, and during peak summer hours.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. when assisting with set-up or seating arrangements.
  
  

Pay Range and Compensation Package
