Job summary

Silverslipper MS in Bay St. Louis, MS is seeking a part-time bartender/server to greet guests, mix beverages, and deliver food orders at the hotel bar and pool area. You will handle payments and keep the bar clean and organized.

The role requires knowledge of standard beverage recipes, excellent guest service, and awareness of liquor brands offered as comped beverages. You’ll verify ages and ensure responsible service, with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience greeting and serving guests.
• Ability to mix beverages according to recipes.
• Maintain bar/pool area cleanliness.
• Handle payment transactions.
• Knowledge of liquor/beer/wine brands offered as comped beverages.
• Verify guests are over 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve guests in a friendly courteous manner.
• Receive and prepare beverage and food orders from guests.
• Know what brands of liquor, beer and wine we offer as “comped” beverages.
• Mix alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to memorized standard beverage recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar / pool area by removing used glasses, napkins, emptying ashtrays and wiping bar top and pool furniture.
• Verify pool patrons are guests of the Hotel / RV or invited guests over 21 yrs.
• Distribute Pool towels to guests upon arrival, and collect upon departure.
• Maintain and replenish ice supply.
• Operate cash register, complete transactions according to procedures, and maintain accurate bank.
• Never serve two drinks at the same time to one person; never a beer and a shot.
• Be aware of intoxicated guests; stay current on care training.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned.
