Join a passionate team of infectious disease specialists, including 3 ID physicians and 1 nurse practitioner, providing comprehensive infectious disease care in South Central Kentucky within an integrated healthcare system. Our facilities include the main hospital with an attached LTAC in Bowling Green and five satellite rural locations.

• We are an established infectious disease practice employed by Med Center Health.
• We offer inpatient consultation services at The Medical Center at Bowling Green and the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital.
• Telehealth services are available for satellite rural facilities.
• Outpatient services are provided through our infectious diseases and travel medicine clinic, conveniently located within walking distance of the main hospital.
• We support the UK resident graduate medical education program for internal medicine and other disciplines, as well as WKU medical students.
• We participate in multiple committees, including the Antibiotic Stewardship Program, Infection Prevention and Control Program, and the Sepsis Committee.

Position Highlights:

• Specialty: 100% Infectious Disease
• Schedule: Weekly rotating schedule
  • Week 1: On-call 7 days, covering inpatient service (pager after hours)
  • Week 2: Clinic 3 days (with 2 days off after weekend work)
  • Week 3: Bridge 5 days, inpatient service with NP support, morning clinic 2 days, inpatient telehealth for satellite hospitals
  • Week 4: Bridge 5 days, clinic, outpatient telehealth for satellite hospitals
• Call Schedule: 1:4 weekly rotation; pager after hours
• Practice Area: Infectious Diseases and Travel Medicine
• Location: Bowling Green, KY
• EMR System: Meditech
• Facilities: Bowling Green Medical Center, Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital, and satellite clinics in Albany, Caverna, Franklin, Russellville, and Scottsville
• Hospital Census: Average 35 patients daily; 15 weekly clinic appointments
• Time Distribution: 60% inpatient, 40% outpatient
• APP Support: Experienced NP supports physicians and ID service
