About The Job

  • Generate business opportunities and acquire new external customers.
  • Deliver results mainly based on sales revenue and new business objectives.
  • Support business implementation, operational process design, and continuous improvement processes (CIP).
  • Role & Responsibilities: Business Development 75%, Solution Design, Innovation, and Improvement 25%.

Main Role and Responsibilities

As BDM for Contract Logistics for External Customers, you will play a pivotal role in developing Samsung SDS's external client portfolio and increasing market share in warehousing and distribution. You will prospect the local market to identify relevant customer targets and business opportunities based on Samsung SDS Contract Logistics service offerings. Your mission will focus on new customer acquisition and portfolio development, aligned with branch objectives and individual targets. You will also collaborate with team members to ensure an efficient sales process and consistent service levels. The main tasks include:

  • Conduct market research and prospecting activities to identify new customer targets across multiple industry sectors and build a robust business opportunity pipeline.
  • Approach business customer targets and local decision-makers to offer SDS solutions and services.
  • Manage customer portfolios, win new customers, and retain existing business.
  • Achieve sales targets and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Report and review performance achievements with the Head of Department (HOD) and sales leaders, and develop clear sales strategies aligned with objectives and targets.
  • Gather customer and market information, collaborating with procurement and pricing colleagues to provide competitive offers.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service and Operations teams to ensure consistent service levels and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide consulting, solution design, and financial analysis for new Contract Logistics projects, supporting other team members involved in sales and operations.
