Job summary

BD's Quality Development Program Summer Internship offers undergraduate students a hands-on opportunity to acquire practical work experience within Quality. Over the course of the summer, interns are immersed in one BD's Quality groups, such as Quality Systems, Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, Quality Control or Continuous Improvement.

Interns work alongside experienced Quality Engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Regulatory Affairs,

Qualifications

• Completion of Junior year towards a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Life Sciences or Quality Sciences with expected graduation December 2027 - June 2028.
• Prior internship or Co-op experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field desired, but not required.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and strong leadership potential.
• Ability to learn quickly, deal with ambiguity, take initiative and achieve results.
• Excellent written and communications skills.
• Proven organization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in BD's Quality groups such as Quality Systems, Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, Quality Control or Continuous Improvement.
• Work with cross-functional teams including R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, and Manufacturing.
• Collaborate with experienced Quality Engineers on project work and career development.

Program Overview:

BD's Quality Development Program Summer Internship offers undergraduate students a hands-on opportunity to acquire practical work experience within Quality. Over the course of the summer, interns are immersed in one BD's Quality groups, such asQuality Systems, Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, Quality Control or Continuous Improvement. Interns work alongside experienced Quality Engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, and Manufacturing. This experience provides valuable exposure to BD's culture, operations, and mission to Advance the World of Health. In addition to project work, interns participate in networking events, professional development workshops, and team-building activities designed to enhance their career readiness and understanding of the medical technology industry.
