Job summary

Boston Consulting Group is seeking Enterprise Solutions Senior Consultants to lead IT/ERP transformations, shaping architecture, performance analysis, and value realization. You will guide complex ERP programs across global teams, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, and work with clients on digital transformation initiatives.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in IT/ERP consulting, strong stakeholder leadership, and fluency with Gen AI tools; travel to client sites will be required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of practical experience in IT/ERP consulting, software development, or IT project management.
• Experience independently managing modules/workstreams in two or more end-to-end ERP implementations (waterfall or agile).
• Strong communication and presentation skills; excellent analytical and conceptual abilities.
• Willingness to travel globally; experience coordinating across large organizations.
• Gen AI tool fluency and ability to validate AI-driven outputs.

You’re Good At:

• Program Management & Governance
  • Managing large‑scale ERP (or similar) projects.
  • Developing nuanced transformation roadmaps, cost estimation, and resource plans across internal and external parties.
  • Defining both global and local deployment, program governance, and quality assurance strategies.
• Maximizing Business Value on Tech Investments
  • Linking financial performance (e.g., distribution costs) and business strategy (e.g., logistics optimization) to digital solutions (e.g., TMS enhancements).
  • Articulating and quantifying value cases for large tech investments, such as ERP programs.
  • Optimizing value realization in ERP and similar solutions.
• Solution Architecture & Design
  • Evaluating an organization’s IT, enterprise applications, data, analytics, integration, and AI solutions, particularly as it relates to packaged software platforms (ERP, CRM, HCM, EAM, MDG, SRM, TMS, WMS, etc.).
  • Translating business needs into target state system requirements.
  • Recommending packaged software vendors, modules, and configurations tailored to a client’s particular industry and context.
  • Restructuring ERP, HCM, EAM, CRM processes (functional and/or technical).
  • Developing infrastructure approaches, including SOA, and high‑level design of ERP and related solutions, whether deployed on cloud, on‑prem, or hybrid.
• Organizational Change
  • Restructuring business/tech processes and organization/operating models within an ERP (or related) construct.
  • Supporting technical functions during mergers and acquisitions, including the functional and technical transformation of an organization’s IT department.
  • Developing team talent by providing direction and facilitating technical discussions.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, engineering, information technology, business management, or a relevant field.
• 4+ years of practical experience in IT/ERP consulting, professional software development, or IT project management with a focus on at least one of the following: SAP, Salesforce, Oracle (Financials, NetSuite, Fusion, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, etc.), Workday.
• Experience in business process design and configuration.
• Previous experience independently managing modules/workstreams in two or more end‑to‑end ERP implementations in a waterfall or agile setting.
• Proven responsibility as a team lead within a single module (e.g., OTC, Finance, Procurement) during at least one project phase (Design, Build, Test, Deploy).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills.
• Experience with the management of decision processes at large organizations.
• Strong customer and results orientation.
• Confidence and persuasiveness.
• Experience managing large, complex projects.
• Gen AI tool fluency (e.g., proven usage of GenAI such as ChatGPT, Claude) and validation of response.
• Willingness to travel globally to work with clients and BCG teams; travel volume depends on client needs and project nature.

For U.S. Applicants

The first‑year base compensation for this role is $150,000 in USD.

In addition to your base salary, you will be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus and a retirement contribution. BCG also provides a market‑leading benefits package.
