Job summary

Belle Creek Charter School seeks an athletic coach for 6th–8th grade students for the upcoming season, reporting to the Athletic Director. The role involves supervising and coaching, building sportsmanship, and coordinating field and facility use to support basketball programs.

We welcome applicants with coaching experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to implement CHSAA/NFHS policies. Background checks and NFHS concussion certification are required.

Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience preferred.
• NFHS Concussion Certification required prior to coaching athletes.
• CPR First Aid recommended.

Responsibilities

• Supervision and coaching of student athletes at all levels of the program.
• Build sportsmanship, fitness, and excitement in students through effectively coaching basketball teams.
• Coordinate with the Athletic Director for use of the field and facilities.
• Participate and help with award banquets.
• Distribute and collect uniforms and maintain an inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Communicate with the Athletic Director about student athletes’ needs, incidents, and all other concerns related to the program.
• Will follow league, district, and CHSAA/NFHS policies and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate the ability to instruct student athletes in fundamental skills and basic rules required to play basketball.

Overview

Candidates will assume the role of an athletic coach at Belle Creek Charter School, coaching students in 6th - 8th grades.

Pay Range

$800 Assistant Coach-$1000 Head Coach (for the entire season)

• Supervision and coaching of student athletes at all levels of the program

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success and positivity in coaching programs
• Knowledge of all aspects of the skills and an understanding of the basic rules involved with this sport
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Excellent goal setting and team building skills
• Applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check performed by the school
• NFHS Concussion Certification required prior to coaching athletes
• CPR First Aid recommended
