Job summary

Compass Behavioral Group is seeking a BCBA Student in Virginia to gain hands-on ABA experience while receiving supervision and professional development. The role supports families and participants with autism in home and clinic settings, under the guidance of BCBAs, with a focus on building strong clinical foundations.

Compensation is hourly, with full-time student hours (105+ hours/month), and includes extensive benefits and tuition assistance to support growth toward a BCBA career.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment or pending enrollment in a master’s program or BACB-approved master’s program.
  • Valid driver’s license and 1+ years of licensed driving experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • 1+ year experience working with children or individuals with autism is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 ABA services in home and clinic settings.
  • Support caregivers through modeling, coaching, and ongoing communication.
  • Work closely with BCBAs to implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Participate in supervision, trainings, and cohort sessions focused on strengthening ABA skills.
  • Engage in clinical projects to prepare for independent practice.
  • Accurately document sessions and collect data using Compass’s electronic systems.

Your Role as a BCBA Student

As a BCBA Student at Compass, you will:

  • Deliver 1:1 ABA services in home and clinic settings

Qualifications
Required:
  • Enrollment or pending enrollment in a master’s program, completed BACB-approved master’s program, or current enrollment in BACB-approved coursework
  • Valid driver’s license and 1+ years of licensed driving experience
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ year experience working with children or individuals with autism
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate: $22–$26/hour, depending on experience
