Job summary

Soliant Health in Arlington, VA is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a contract-to-hire role during Extended School Year programming. This full-time position (40 hours/week) focuses on one-on-one support for a first-grade student with behavioral needs, with onsite administrative backing.

The role emphasizes implementing IEPs and behavior plans, collecting data, and collaborating with administrators, therapists, and staff to drive student growth and program development.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible BCBA certification, or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
• Special Education teaching certification (or ability to obtain).
• Background working in educational settings with behavioral interventions.
• Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or ADHD is preferred.
• Demonstrated skill in one-on-one instructional strategies and support.
• Ability to adapt to individualized learning plans and needs.
• Effective communication with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver dedicated instruction and behavior support to assigned first-grade student.
• Implement IEPs and positive behavior intervention plans.
• Collect and analyze data to track student progress and inform instructional decisions.
• Collaborate with school administration, therapists, and related staff for optimal student outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Participate in meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the educational program.
