Job summary

Expatiate Communications is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst for a school-based, per diem role in Fremont, CA. You will design and implement therapy programs, assess students, and develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with families and educators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in psychology or ABA.
• BCBA Certificate from Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
• Accreditation as a behavior analyst or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a behavior analyst.
• Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial consultations and possible diagnostic assessments.
• Meet with families, educators, and collateral to gain insights into students’ concerns.
• Formulate treatment plans addressing cognitive, social, emotional, and sensory needs.
• Administer and tailor interventions as needed.
• Recommend additional treatment by other professionals when appropriate.
• Create documents using MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Advocate for inclusion of individuals with disorders in society.
• Attend IEP meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

Reporting to the Special Education Supervisor, the Board Certified Behavior Analyst is responsible for designing and implementing therapy programs to help treat patients with mental, social or learning disorders. In addition, the Behavior Analyst conducts student assessments, decides on the most appropriate intervention, and delivers effective treatment.

Work Setting: School-Based

Location: Fremont, CA

Employment Type: Per Diem (Variable)

Pay Range: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour DOE

What You’ll Do

• Conducting initial consultations with the student, where you may perform diagnostic assessments.
• Meeting with families, educators, and other collateral to obtain better insight into students' presenting concerns, as needed.
• Formulating an appropriate treatment plan that is sensitive to students' cognitive, social, emotional, and sensory needs.
• Administering treatment and tailoring interventions, as needed.
• Suggesting additional treatment by other professionals, as required.
• Able to create documents using MS Office Power Point, Excel, and Word.
• Advocating for the inclusion of individuals with disorders and disabilities within society.
• Attend IEP meetings.

What You Bring

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, applied behavior analysis, or similar; required.
• BCBA Certificate through Behavior Analyst Certification Board
• Accreditation as a behavior analyst or suitable equivalent
• Proven experience as a behavior analyst.
• In-depth knowledge of and thorough adherence to applicable ethical codes.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
