Job summary

Applied ABC seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst for the Bronx, NY area. The role focuses on assessment, FBA, behavior intervention planning, staff training, and ongoing progress monitoring in a school setting.

You'll supervise BCaBAs and RBTs, participate in IEP-related meetings, and ensure HIPAA compliance while coordinating with school teams and families to support students with ASD and related needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in ABA, education, or related field.
• Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
• Current 8-hour supervision certificate for supervision of RBTs.

Responsibilities

• Writes assessment reports based on initial assessment including behavior support recommendations.
• Conducts Functional Behavior Assessments.
• Writes reports and develops Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Develops data collection forms.
• Trains staff in implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans and strategies; monitors implementation.
• Conducts staff training on ABA topics.
• Monitors staff in the use of ABA strategies and procedures.
• Participates in Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings and initial student interviews/assessments.
• Regularly assess and monitor student progress; provide ongoing support one-on-one or in small groups.
• Reviews skill acquisition and behavior data; modify BIPs and programs as needed.
• Coordinates with Special Education Coordinator and central office; assist with materials for behavior support and skill training.
• Supports IEP meetings to review progress and goals; demonstrates effective communication with team members.
• Supervises BCaBA and RBTs when applicable; adheres to BACB rules and HIPAA compliance.
