Job summary

Home of Guiding Hands is seeking a compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support our Adult Family Homes program in San Diego County. This part-time consultant role involves working directly with adults with developmental disabilities in a home-like setting.

You will conduct behavioral assessments, develop behavior support plans, and train host families to promote independence and quality of life. Travel across the service area is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology, Education, Behavior Analysis, or a related field.
• Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
• Experience working with adults with IDD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct behavioral assessments to identify needs, challenges, and strengths.
• Develop individualized behavior support plans to promote independence and quality of life.
• Provide training, coaching, and ongoing guidance to host families caring for adults with developmental disabilities.
• Help families understand challenging behaviors and implement positive behavior support strategies.
• Collaborate with HGH staff, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistent support.
• Monitor progress and evaluate effectiveness of interventions; adjust as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
• Travel to Adult Family Homes across the service area for support and consultation.
