OVERVIEW OF POSITION
Under direct supervision, provide quality clinical supervision and work direction to direct reports, offering discipline‑specific treatment for children with developmental delays, disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Oversee all components of ABA programs for your caseload, ensuring high quality and adherence to best‑practice guidelines.
Essential Functions
- Facilitate behavior programs based on ABA principles, conduct behavior assessments, and serve as an Assessor when needed. Provide parent education, develop and deliver specific intervention activities, and act as liaison between the organization, families, community, therapists, health care providers, etc.
- Conduct evaluations, case‑management reviews, quality assurance reviews, and audits as assigned by the Regional Clinical Director. Meet productivity requirements set forth in the annual budget.
- Lead and/or attend staff meetings. Prepare and provide specialized training and instructional materials, including staff development training, as assigned by the Regional Clinical Director.
- Ensure associate responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities are clearly defined and understood. Manage and evaluate performance and productivity of associates in the assigned region. Provide training and onboarding for new associates; ongoing training to assigned Program Managers and Behavior Interventionists; specialized training to associates preparing for certifications.
- Work with the Regional Clinical Director and Human Resources in the recruitment/selection process of new program associates. Oversee associates involved in the recruitment/selection process as needed.
- Attend conferences and trainings to remain current regarding new research, current trends, and developments in autism, special education, and related fields.
- Function as liaison between the organization, families, and other community agencies (regional centers, school programs, therapists, health care providers) assisting with questions and concerns as they arise. Travel as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- Master’s degree in ABA or a related field.
- Must possess and maintain a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Must possess and maintain current CPR certification.
Experience
- 2‑3 years of professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multi‑disciplinary team setting.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Expert knowledge of scientifically validated methodologies and behavioral analytic approaches for children with ASD, and familiarity with current related research findings.
- Expertise in intervention approaches based on the science of ABA, including PRT, NET, PECS, BST, and EFA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Consistent demonstration of good judgment and decision‑making skills.
- Customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions.
- Effective oral and written communication skills; cooperative teamwork with a variety of individuals and groups. Must relate well to children and families and maintain a positive affect.
- Ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive documentation.
- Ability to pass a post‑offer physical examination, TB test, and provide proof of required vaccinations or immunity.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and FBI as required by ESSC or program requirements.
