The BCBA Clinical Lead plays a key role in ensuring clinical excellence and fostering professional growth within our Maryland-based teams. This position supports the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based ABA services by guiding and mentoring BCBAs and students, while helping maintain a consistent standard of care across the region.
Working in close partnership with the Regional Clinical Director, the BCBA Clinical Lead contributes to the development and implementation of clinical programs, supports onboarding and training for new BCBAs, provides crisis prevention training, and mentors team members at various stages of their professional journey. The role also includes oversight of BACB Fieldwork student development and collaboration with administrative staff to ensure clinicians are well-supported and families receive exceptional care.

The BCBA Clinical Lead supports the delivery of high-quality clinical services and contributes to team development and operational excellence across the region. Primary responsibilities include:
- Provide Clinical Supervision: Deliver direct supervision to BCBAs and ensure clinical integrity across assigned cases.
- Support Onboarding Processes:Assist with local onboarding and integration of behavior technicians, BACB fieldwork students, and newly hired BCBAs.
- Mentor and Guide Clinicians: Train, coach, and offer ongoing mentorship to BCBAs, fostering professional growth and clinical consistency.
- Facilitate Group Learning:Lead group supervision sessions and mentorship activities for fieldwork students in alignment with BACB standards.
- Enhance Clinical Culture:Collaborate with the Regional Clinical Director to host events that promote clinical learning and a strong team culture.
- Promote Treatment Fidelity: Work alongside BCBAs and families to ensure adherence to evidence-based treatment plans and best practices.
- Travel for Regional Support:Travel approximately 20% of the time to provide in-person support, training, and engagement across designated sites.
- Coordinate with Local Leadership: Maintain regular communication with local operations teams to address clinical needs and ensure alignment.
- Monitor and Report Progress: Provide consistent, data-driven reporting on clinical activities and regional outcomes.
- Maintain Clinical Caseload: Carry a client caseload as needed based on regional requirements.
- Engage in Active Sessions: Participate in physically demanding therapy sessions as needed, including standing, bending, lifting (25+ lbs), and keeping pace with clients aged 2–15.
The ideal candidate brings a strong clinical foundation, leadership experience, and a commitment to high-quality ABA service delivery. Key qualifications include:
- Master’s degree in behavior analysis, education, psychology, or a related field
- Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Licensed (or license-eligible) Behavior Analyst in all applicable states within the coverage area
- Minimum of five years of experience practicing as a BCBA, with at least two years in a supervisory or mentorship role
- Proven experience implementing ABA services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or related developmental disorders
- Ability to administer and interpret a range of clinical assessments
- Strong clinical judgment and a high standard of professional ethics
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Skilled in project management and problem-solving within clinical settings
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
