Job summary

A Better Way ABA is seeking a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) to observe, assess, and support clients with behavioral needs in New York. You will collaborate with families, teachers, and medical professionals to tailor intervention plans and monitor progress.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, create controlled observation scenarios, and advocate for inclusive practices while applying evidence-based methods and staying within organizational resources and timelines.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a BCBA or similar role.
• Excellent verbal and report writing skills.
• Calm, empathic, and patient by nature.
• Ability to stay composed and adhere to best practices under duress.
• Knowledge of referral procedures.
• Relevant training and/or BCBA certification.

Responsibilities

• Observing patients and assessing their behavior.
• Meeting with families, teachers, or doctors to discuss treatment and progress.
• Developing individual plans to correct or improve behaviors.
• Creating simulated conditions to observe client behavior.
• Formulating treatment plans sensitive to cognitive, social, emotional, and sensory needs.
• Administering treatment and tailoring interventions as needed.
• Suggesting additional treatment by other professionals when required.
• Working within time, financial, and resource constraints.
• Staying updated on research and evidence-based practices.
• Advocating for inclusion of individuals with disorders within society.
