Job summary

Friends of Children with Special Needs (FCSN) in Fremont, CA, seeks an experienced BCBA to provide behavioral consultation, clinical support, staff training, and program development within the Adaptive Skills Training (AST) program.

The BCBA will collaborate with leadership, staff, participants, families, and an interdisciplinary team to implement evidence-based behavioral and skill-building strategies promoting independence, communication, and safety.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in ABA, Psychology, Education, Special Education, or related field.
  • Current BCBA certification in good standing.
  • Experience with individuals with I/DD.
  • Experience with FBAs, BIPs, ABA, and skill acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct or participate in FBAs and behavioral observations.
  • Develop, review, and monitor BIPs and positive behavior support strategies.
  • Apply ABA to support skill acquisition and emotional regulation.
  • Develop strategies for adaptive, social, communication, and daily living skills.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to AST staff.
  • Monitor data and make data-informed recommendations.
  • Participate in ISP meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings.
