Job Overview

St. Luke’s Neurosurgical Associates (SLNA) located in the Lehigh Valley of Eastern Pennsylvania is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Neurosurgeon to join a well-established, hospital-employed group of 10 neurosurgeons and 1 interventional neuroradiologist.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call general neurosurgery coverage.
• Primary call shared equitably with other group members (average 1 in 6).
• Support inpatient services from trauma, medicine, and ICU teams.
• Utilize block operating room time in a fully equipped facility.

Qualifications

• Board Certification/Eligibility in Neurosurgery.
• Fellowship training in General Neurosurgery and Complex Spine (required).
• Comfort with all aspects of general neurosurgery.

Practice Features

• Network comprises 16 campuses; primary neurosurgical call covers Level 1 Trauma Center (Neuroscience Hub) and two Level 2 trauma centers.
• Comprehensive Stroke Center with separate cerebrovascular/endovascular call structure.
• Minimal pediatric neurosurgery cases, typically transferred.
• Electronic medical records (Epic) with home access to PACS.
• Extensive referrals from network PCP practices, ERs, neurology, spine & pain practice, oncology, ENT, etc.
• Advanced Practitioners support ORs, rounding, and office volumes.
• Vertical AP model with each neurosurgeon partnering with one AP.
• Draw area of 1.1 million residents in 11 counties.
